Consistent with [Hoarding Disorder] [specifier(s)]. There has been persistent difficulty discarding or parting with possessions; strong perceived need to save items; marked distress associated with discarding; accumulation of possessions that congest and clutter living areas, forming a persistent pattern that compromises intended use of living spaces. The presentation is further characterised by difficulty discarding that is not better explained by lack of available storage or by normative collecting. These symptoms have resulted in clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or safety-related functioning, and the picture is not better explained by obsessive-compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, psychotic disorders, neurocognitive disorders, or a substance/medication effect.
