Specifiers

In a controlled environment: Limited opportunity to act on urges (e.g. residential facility, custody).
In remission: No distress, impairment, or acting on urges with non-consenting persons for at least 5 years (outside controlled environment).

Over a period of at least six months, there have been recurrent and intense sexual arousal from observing an unsuspecting person who is naked, disrobing, or engaging in sexual activity; sexual arousal manifested by fantasies, urges, or behaviours; acting on these urges with a non-consenting person, or marked distress or interpersonal difficulty related to the urges, forming a persistent voyeuristic pattern. These symptoms have resulted in clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or interpersonal functioning, or risk of harm to others through non-consensual behaviour.
