Consistent with [Psychotic Disorder Due to Another Medical Condition] [specifier(s)]. In the context of an established or newly identified medical condition, there have been prominent delusions; hallucinations, forming a psychotic syndrome that developed in a clear temporal association with the underlying medical illness and is judged to be a direct pathophysiological consequence of that condition. The presentation is further characterised by psychotic symptoms that are not better explained by a primary psychotic disorder and are not attributable to the effects of a substance or medication, with clinical, laboratory, or imaging evidence supporting a medical aetiology. These symptoms have resulted in clinically significant distress or impairment, and the disturbance does not occur exclusively during delirium.
